Supervisor Candland invites you to join him for a day of service at beautiful Silver Lake Park on October 10, 2015. The service day will run from 9:00 AM to 1 PM, but volunteers may come and go according to their schedules.

Silver Lake Park is located off Antioch road at 16198 Silver Lake Road in Haymarket. The park is a 230 acre “nature based park,” often called Prince William County’s environmental jewel. Silver Lake offers activities such as hiking, birding, photography, fishing, canoeing or kayaking, biking, and horseback riding.

We are working with community groups, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, businesses, and individual citizens to make the service project a huge success. All activities will take place outside. Please wear clothes that are you not afraid to get dirty and closed toe shoes. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. I hope you will join this effort and lend your considerable resources to assist with this important project. We have a long list of projects that need to be completed, so every volunteer hand will be needed.

For additional information and to register to volunteer please contact Diana Meiser at 703-792-6195 or
